Pilgrim Heights is a Christian-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit camp and retreat center located in central Iowa between Marshalltown and Tama/Toledo. Founded in 1954 as a church camp, Pilgrim Heights has served generations of campers seeking connection, faith, and time in the outdoors.

In 2007, the organization transitioned into the nonprofit you see today, expanding its mission beyond a traditional church camp. While our roots remain Christian, Pilgrim Heights now welcomes church groups of all religions, schools, nonprofits, families, and individuals of all backgrounds who are looking for a peaceful place to gather, learn, and retreat.

Our primary focus is hosting our own seasonal camps and programs, especially our summer youth camps. At the same time, we make our facilities available year-round for groups to host their own retreats, camps, reunions, and events. Guests can also enjoy individual cabin stays and time in nature.
