5 Signs You Need a Break {and how we can help}

We all know the feeling: You're juggling a million things at once, you're exhausted, and you just can't keep going. If this sounds familiar, it might be time for a break. But how do you know when you've reached your limit? Here are five signs that indicate you need some time for yourself.

1. You're Snapping at Your Loved Ones

If you find yourself getting short with your spouse or kids for no reason, it's a sign that you're overwhelmed and need to take a step back. When we're stressed, it's easy to take our frustration out on the people we love the most. If you find yourself doing this, it's important to take a break so that you can recharge and come back refreshed and ready to be your best self.

2. You're Not Sleeping Well

If you're tossing and turning all night long or finding it hard to fall asleep in the first place, it's a sign that your body is desperately in need of a break. When we're stressed, our bodies have a hard time relaxing, which can lead to sleepless nights. If you're not getting enough sleep, you'll only end up feeling more stressed and run down.

3. You Have No Time for Yourself

If your days are so packed that you don't even have time to take a shower, let alone relax with a good book or take a yoga class, it's time to give yourself a break. It's important to schedule some "me" time into your week so that you can recharge and come back feeling refreshed.

4. You Can't Concentrate

If you find yourself forgetting things or having trouble focusing on tasks, it might be because you're trying to do too much at once. When we're overwhelmed, our brains have a hard time keeping track of everything we need to do. If this is becoming a problem in your life, it's time to slow down and give yourself a chance to breathe.

5. You Feel Anxious or Depressed

If stress has started to take a toll on your mental health, it's definitely time for a break. Feeling anxious or depressed is not something that should be ignored; if you're starting to feel like this on a regular basis, please reach out for help from a professional.
